VINCENT IN BRIXTON- set design by the late, great Scott Weldin

the play is about the time that Vincent Van Gogh spent in Brixton. The set was an interior, with some echoes of his paintings. The floor was a wood plank floor, with 'handpainted' cherryblossoms bordering it, and some stronger paint streaks in van goghy colours thrown in.
We made the cherryblossom flowers out of a soft linoleum.
the shapes of the branches got stenciled on

finished part kind of looked like that
a very used kitchen
a Van Gogh green table
a view of the whole set in the arena stage
